Amanda Teye is a Professor of Political Science at James Madison University (JMU), serving as a core faculty member in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program since 2010. She teaches graduate courses in Research Design and Program Evaluation. Her research focuses on community-based outcomes assessment, impact evaluation, and assessment development, particularly in youth mentoring programs and public policy.

Dr. Teye has led two major grants from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, including a long-term study on mentoring program impacts. Her work is supported by organizations like the U.S. Department of Education, Annie E. Casey Foundation, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. She has extensive consulting experience in policy evaluation and program design.
