Amanda Stojanov is an Assistant Professor of Digital Media at Monmouth University, Department of Communication. Her research explores how communication technologies shape identity, agency, and visibility in networked societies, with a focus on embodiment and marginalized experiences. She earned her MFA from UCLA and BFA from Monmouth University. Key roles include co-director of the IDM Research Lab and organizing Wikipedia edit-a-thons. Her work bridges art and technology through installations, interactive animations, and participatory projects.
Selected exhibitions include Liminal Bodies and Space (2024), Pink-noise.info, I am real (2020), and participation in the Glitch Art Festival (2019–2020). Awards include the Monmouth University Stanley Fellowship and MARCOM Gold Award. She actively engages in feminist HCI methodologies and community-focused art initiatives.
Her research interests span cyberfeminism, virtual reality, and participatory design. Notable projects include UUU: Reconsidering Cyberfeminism (2021), Steel Scene (2019), and collaborations with organizations like Here.LA and Ammerman Center.
