Amanda Stante is an Assistant Professor of Music at Susquehanna University, specializing in voice performance. She holds a Doctor of Music (DM) and Master of Music (MM) from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, as well as a BA in Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon University with a minor in German. Her career blends performance and education, emphasizing storytelling through song and cross-cultural musical exploration.
Her performance expertise spans opera, cabaret, and concert stages, with notable roles including Handel’s Serse, Massenet’s Cendrillon, and Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier. She has performed with orchestras such as the Budapest Concert Orchestra and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and has appeared at venues like The Glimmerglass Festival and Central City Opera.
In education, Stante teaches voice at Susquehanna and previously at Indiana State University. She also contributed to outreach programs like Reimagining Opera for Kids (ROK). Her teaching philosophy integrates liberal arts principles to foster holistic artistic development in students.
Outside academia, she advocates for music accessibility and cultural enrichment through performance and community engagement.
