Amanda Shaw serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Art and Design Department within the College of Arts and Letters at The University of Tampa. She holds dual credentials as a licensed mental health counselor in Florida (MH 20223) and a board-certified art therapist (ATR-BC) through the Art Therapy Credentials Board.

- Professional Roles: Owner of Create Flow Heal Art Therapy & Counseling LLC; Membership Committee Chair for Florida Art Therapy Association (FATA)
Her research and clinical practice focus on trauma-informed art psychotherapy, specializing in bilateral art therapy interventions for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She has extensive experience working with diverse populations across Florida counties including Brevard, Miami-Dade, Broward, Pinellas, Manatee, and Hillsborough, addressing crisis stabilization, mood disorders, eating disorders, anxiety, and suicidal ideation through art-based therapeutic approaches.
Her teaching portfolio includes Introduction to Art Therapy and Arts in Public Health courses. International experience includes providing therapy to orphans and war veterans in Croatia during graduate studies.
