Amanda Morris is a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of Essex and a postgraduate research student. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Kent (2005), a PGCE in Social Sciences from the University of Leicester (2006), and an MA in Education from the Open University (2016). Her research focuses on how parental smartphone use during parent-infant interactions impacts language development and processes like gaze following and joint attention. She has taught psychology at various levels, including GCSE, A Level, IB, and undergraduate programs.
