Amanda M. Dettmer is a Research Scientist at the Yale Child Study Center and Co-Director of the Developmental Science Summer Internship Program. She leads the Human and Animal Integrated Research (HAIR) Lab, focusing on translational research using nonhuman primate models to study child health and development. Her work integrates behavioral neuroscience, neuroendocrinology, immunology, and epigenetics.

Research Interests: Dettmer examines early life factors influencing lifelong health, including stress biology, maternal-infant interactions, and the impact of social environments on development. Her work bridges nonhuman primate models with human studies, such as analyzing school-based mental health interventions and the Hartford UBI pilot program.
