Amanda Fancourt is a Senior Lecturer in Professional Legal Education at the Professional Law Institute, part of King's College London's The Dickson Poon School of Law. She joined in November 2021 and leads modules on Business Practice and Company Financing for the MSc/PG Dip in Law and Professional Practice.

Her research focuses on corporate governance and student support mechanisms, particularly transitions in legal education. She has extensive experience in legal practice and legal education, previously serving as Senior Lecturer and Programme Director on the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at City University (2008–2021). She is a Chief Examiner for the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and an external examiner at Oxford Brookes and Northumbria Universities.
Amanda is a member of the Association of Law Teachers and a Fellow of the HEA. She frequently presents at legal education conferences on topics like legal skills and professional conduct.
