Amanda Bayer is the Franklin and Betty Barr Professor of Economics at Swarthmore College. Her work focuses on promoting diversity and innovation in economic education and research. She holds a B.A. in economics and psychology from Williams College and an M.Phil. and Ph.D. in economics from Yale University.

Her research spans econometric analysis of youth mentoring programs, evaluation of education interventions, and game theory applications in strategic settings like litigation and labor negotiations. She founded Div.E.Q., an AEA-supported platform for inclusive teaching practices in economics. Professor Bayer also partners with nonprofits and leads projects in Swarthmore's Peace and Conflict Studies and Athletics programs.
