Amal Ehtaiwesh

Amal Ehtaiwesh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Science at the University of Zawia, Libya. Her research focuses on understanding how crop plants respond to environmental stresses such as salinity, drought, heat, and cold, aiming to address global food security challenges.

• Educated at Kansas State University (PhD in Agronomy, 2016) and Brock University (M.Sc. in Biological Science, 2006)
• Teaches courses in general plant science, plant physiology, plant nutrition, and molecular biology
• Research interests span crop physiology, plant ecophysiology, and biotic/abiotic stress responses
