Oboist and composer Alyssa Morris serves as Associate Professor of Oboe and Music Theory at Kansas State University's School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. She is principal oboist of the Topeka Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra of the Smoky Valley, with international performance experience across the U.S., Scandinavia, British Isles, Western Europe, Thailand, and New Zealand. Her original concerto Dreamscape has been performed at the Kennedy Center.
- Co-founder of AGLOW Trio (flute, oboe, piano ensemble)
- Active composer with works performed globally and published by TrevCo Music Publishing, C. Alan Publishing, and Sleepy Puppy Press
- Recipient of two International Barlow Composition Commissions
Her research interests span oboe performance techniques, contemporary classical composition, and chamber music pedagogy. She was Composer-In-Residence for River Oaks Chamber Orchestra (ROCO) during their 2020-2021 season and has received multiple commissions from prestigious ensembles and musicians.

- 2016 PEO International Idagrace Guy Scholar (top 10 recognition)
With academic credentials from Brigham Young University (BM, MM) and University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (DMA), she maintains active performance and composition careers while teaching music theory and oboe at Kansas State University.
