Alyssa Kelly

Alyssa Kelly is a Research Speech Language Pathologist at the University of Pittsburgh's Department of Communication Science and Disorders, affiliated with the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. She works in the Language Rehabilitation and Cognition Lab and supports clinical trials focused on counseling and adaptive computer-based language treatments for stroke survivors with aphasia.

Her research interests center on aphasia, psychosocial factors impacting recovery, and neurogenic communication/swallowing disorders. She also serves as an instructor for the SHRS in Ireland study abroad program for undergraduates.

With clinical experience in inpatient rehabilitation and long-term care, Kelly bridges clinical practice and research to improve outcomes for individuals with communication disorders.
