Alvaro Saar Rios

Alvaro Saar Rios is an Associate Professor and Playwriting Area Head in the Theatre Department at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. His work focuses on creating multi-generational theatre experiences, with commissions from organizations like the Kennedy Center and Houston Grand Opera. He leads the BA Practices program, mentoring students, and founded New Dramaworks to engage undergraduates in new play development.
