Alonzo Emery is a Lecturer on Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE). Previously, they served as an Assistant Professor of Comparative Jurisprudence at Renmin University of China Law School (2010-2013) and Clinical Instructor in the Harvard Negotiation and Mediation Clinical Program (2013-2016). Emery holds a B.A. from Yale University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. Their expertise spans mediation, conflict resolution, and cross-cultural dialogue, with a focus on disability law and transnational academic collaboration.
Emery’s career includes launching the first law school clinic in China dedicated to disability rights and co-creating the groundbreaking Harvard-Renmin University transnational course 'Engaging China.' Their leadership roles include Associate Director of East Asian Legal Studies at Harvard Law School and board service with the Yale-China Association.
