Alo Laas

Alo Laas is an Associate Professor and Interim Chair at the Chair of Hydrobiology and Fisheries within the Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at Estonian University of Life Sciences. He holds a concurrent Visiting Professor position at University of Tartu's Estonian Marine Institute (2023-2026). His international engagement includes previous roles at Spain's Catalan Institute for Water Research and leadership positions in GLEON, SIL, and multiple EU projects.

His research specializes in aquatic ecology with focus areas including:
