Allissa Long

Allissa Long, Pharm.D., BCACP, is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Administration at the University of St. Joseph (USJ), where she joined in 2023. Prior to this role, she served as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS). She holds a Pharm.D. from Western New England University (WNEU).

Her research focuses on cardiorenal medicine, diabetes management, and pharmacy policy. Notable areas include the efficacy of novel antidiabetic agents in renal protection and pharmacists' perspectives on drug importation policies. She teaches courses such as PHCY 845, PHCY 856, PHCY 895, and PHRM 742.

Professional affiliations include the Connecticut Pharmacists Association (Membership Committee Chair) and the Western New England University Alumni Association Board of Directors. Her work bridges clinical practice, policy, and interdisciplinary education in pharmacy.
