Allison Shearer

Allison Shearer is an Adjunct Instructor at Shenandoah University's School of Health Professions specializing in hand rehabilitation and performing arts medicine. She holds a B.A. in Music and Biology from University of Virginia, M.O.T. from University of Pittsburgh, and is completing a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science at University of Alberta. Her clinical expertise includes developing orthotic solutions for musicians and implementing telehealth strategies for hand therapists.

Shearer's research focuses on injury prevention and rehabilitation for performing artists, particularly addressing biomechanical challenges in instrumentalists. Her publications examine therapeutic modalities and innovative treatment approaches for upper extremity conditions.
