Allison McDonald is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences at Boston University. Her research focuses on the intersection of privacy, security, and human-centered computing, with an emphasis on how technology exacerbates societal marginalization. She employs both in-depth qualitative methods and large-scale data analysis to inform system redesign and policy advocacy aimed at reducing inequality.
