Allison Manning

Allison Manning is a full-time Lecturer in the Communication Disorders and Sciences Department at SUNY Fredonia, bringing over 10 years of clinical practice to her undergraduate and graduate teaching. She holds an Ed.D. from the University at Buffalo (2025), an M.S. (2011), and a B.S.Ed. (2009) from SUNY Fredonia.

Her scholarly output includes a 2014 publication on vocal mechanism knowledge among university voice students, bridging voice science and choral education. Recent presentations (2024-2025) demonstrate her evolving focus on student self-efficacy and perspective-driven curriculum development in CSD education.

As an active professional, Dr. Manning serves as advisor for the National Student Speech-Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA) Fredonia Chapter and ASHA CE Coordinator. Her clinical expertise directly informs her mentorship approach and teaching philosophy.
