Allison Jeffrey is a Lecturer at the University of Bath, affiliated with the Department for Health and the Centre for Sport, Physical Activity and Health Equality (SPHERE). She holds a PhD and has international research experience in Canada, New Zealand, and the UK. Her work focuses on new materialisms, posthumanism, ageing, and climate change, with interdisciplinary projects on dance, ecoactivism, and sport retirement. She is PI/co-PI on multiple grants, including projects on intergenerational ecoactivism (2024–2025) and ageing/yoga (2023–2025).
Research interests include:
- Movement practices (dance/yoga)
- Climate change and outdoor recreation
- Gender and power in sport organizations
- Posthumanist ethics in pandemic research
Her publications explore affective geographies, feminist methodologies, and sport management. She actively reviews for journals like Somatechnics and Sports Coaching Review, and participates in committees at Cape Breton University. Current projects emphasize transdisciplinary approaches to wellbeing, gender equality, and environmental advocacy.
