Allison Altman Singles

Allison Altman Singles is a dual associate professor in the Kinesiology and Mechanical Engineering departments at Pennsylvania State University (Penn State Berks). Her research bridges biomechanics, gait analysis, and musculoskeletal health, focusing on the mechanical consequences of movement on bone and tissue, as well as bone pathology effects on function.

Her work includes two distinct branches: (1) analyzing impact loading during running to understand bone injury mechanisms using 3D gait analysis and CT-derived computational models, and (2) investigating bone disease effects on functional movement through advanced imaging techniques.
