Allen W Heinemann, PhD, serves as Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, with secondary appointments in Medical Social Sciences (Outcome and Measurement Science) and Emergency Medicine. He directs the Center for Rehabilitation Outcomes Research at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, a leading rehabilitation hospital affiliated with Northwestern.
His educational background includes a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Kansas (1982) and a psychology internship at Baylor College of Medicine, with board certification from the American Board of Rehabilitation Psychology and American Board of Professional Psychology.
