معرفی
Allan Wang is a Clinical Professor at the Department of Surgery within the UWA Medical School at the University of Western Australia. His research focuses on orthopedic surgery, particularly in joint replacement and musculoskeletal disorders. He contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being.
Research interests include reverse shoulder arthroplasty, tendon repair, and regenerative medicine. His recent work explores prosthesis design optimization, tendon-cell implantation therapies, and biomechanical analysis of joint mechanics. Key areas include improving surgical techniques for shoulder replacements and developing biologic solutions for tendon injuries.
He has published extensively on topics such as glenohumeral joint load evaluation, humeral head size impact on arthroplasty outcomes, and computer modeling in surgical planning. His research bridges clinical practice and engineering innovations in orthopedics.
Dr. Wang has secured grants including a randomized controlled study on Ortho-ATI™ therapy for rotator cuff tendinopathy and a population study on hip replacement needs. He collaborates internationally on joint replacement biomechanics and implant design.
