Allan Eickelmann

Allan Eickelmann is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM), formally appointed in the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies. He holds an adjunct role at Loyola University New Orleans, affiliated with the College of Nursing and Health and the Loyola Institute for Ministry. Dr. Eickelmann earned his D.Min. from McCormick Theological Seminary, where he received the inaugural John Randall Hunt Award for his thesis on the integration of ecclesiology, church history, and Biblical studies with organizational behavior and development.

His research focuses on religion and violence, American religious experience, and interdisciplinary studies. Key works include Justice and Violence (2005) and a 2012 paper on interdisciplinary studies at USM. He is currently developing a typology of religiously motivated violence.
