Alka Mallik

Alka Mallik, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Hematology and Oncology. She specializes in lymphoma and lung, breast, and colon cancers.

Her educational background includes:

• Bachelor's degree in biological sciences with a minor in history from Stanford University
• Medical degree and internal medicine residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center
• Fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center (serving as Chief Fellow) with translational research experience in the Melnick Lab

Dr. Mallik is board-certified in hematology and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Her research focuses on malignant and benign hematology, particularly hemostasis and thrombosis. She has been an investigator on multiple clinical trials and is deeply involved in medical education, delivering lectures for residents and medical students.
