Aljoša Polajžar, Ph.D., serves as Assistant Professor at the Department of Labour Law, Faculty of Law, University of Maribor, where he teaches Labour Law, European Labour Law, Legal Informatics, and specialized English legal terminology courses. He completed his doctoral dissertation on 'Collective labour rights of platform workers' in September 2024 under Full Professor Darja Senčur Peček's supervision.
His research expertise spans platform work regulation, collective labour rights, employee protection frameworks, workplace privacy under GDPR, and digitalization challenges in employment law. Current national projects 'PLATFOsi' and 'ADPS' examine Slovenian platform work conditions with funding from the Slovenian Research Agency and Ministry of Labour.
Recent publications (2023-2025) demonstrate consistent focus on EU regulatory responses to platform economies, analyzing worker classification criteria, collective rights access, and surveillance-law conflicts through comparative European legal perspectives. His work integrates doctrinal analysis with practical regulatory challenges.
As associate editor of Web of Science-indexed journal LeXonomica, he contributes to academic discourse while co-authoring national legal commentaries on Slovenia's Labour Relations Act and related legislation. His scholarly activities bridge theoretical research with practical legal implementation in evolving digital labour markets.
