Alison Siggins serves as Academic Team Lead in the Department of Accounting and Finance at Aberdeen Business School, Robert Gordon University. She joined RGU in 2015 as a Lecturer and progressed through roles including Head of Stage and Course Leader, leveraging over 20 years of industry experience in Energy and Fast Moving Consumer Goods sectors with international taxation expertise across Europe, Far East, Canada, and America.
Her educational background features a Bachelor of Business Studies (Hons) from Dublin Business School (1991-1995) and Chartered Accountant qualification from CIMA (1995-1997).
Specializing in Financial Accounting and Management & Cost Accounting instruction, she operates as a CIMA Global Champion promoting professional qualifications and has integrated Cloud Accounting workshops into curricula to advance technology adoption. Her research interests focus on accounting education innovation, industry-academia partnerships, and digital transformation in accounting practices.
