Dr. Alison Murray is a Research Professor of Biology at the Desert Research Institute (DRI), specializing in molecular microbial ecology and biological oceanography. Her work focuses on utilizing genomic approaches to study microorganisms in extreme environments, with particular expertise in polar ecosystems and astrobiology applications. She leads a research program that bridges oceanography, geosciences, computational biology, and planetary science.
