Alison Malcolm is a Professor in the Earth Sciences Department at Memorial University of Newfoundland, specializing in seismic imaging and geophysical methods. Her research focuses on uncertainty quantification, nonlinear imaging techniques, and full-waveform inversion (FWI). She leads a vibrant research group advising PhD, Master’s, and undergraduate students in topics such as subsurface imaging, rock physics, and CO2 sequestration monitoring. She holds a Ph.D. from Colorado School of Mines and a B.Sc. from the University of British Columbia.
