Alison Krögel is a tenured Professor at the University of Denver's College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, specializing in Andean & Quechua Literary and Cultural Studies. She serves as Affiliated Faculty at the Latin America Center and JKSIS, with research focusing on indigenous language poetry, food studies, and the experiences of Peruvian sheepherders in the U.S.
