Professor Alison Jack serves as Professor of Bible and Literature and Principal of New College at the University of Edinburgh's School of Divinity. She holds qualifications of MA, BD, PhD, and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Authority. Her research integrates biblical studies with English and Scottish literature, focusing on 19th-20th century fiction, religious education in schools, and the influence of biblical narratives in modern genres. She co-authored *The Prodigal Son in English and American Literature* (2019) and co-edited *The Bible in Crime Fiction and Drama* (2018). She directs the Scottish Network for Religion and Literature and holds external roles such as Chair of Theology in Scotland’s Editorial Board, Trustee of Drummond and Hope Trusts, and former President of the Church Service Society.
