Dr. Alison Frand is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Chemistry at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Medicine. Her research focuses on developmental biology, molecular genetics, and cell biology using Caenorhabditis elegans as a primary model organism.
Research Interests:
- Elucidating molecular mechanisms of molting cycles in nematodes
- Investigating microRNA-nuclear receptor feedback loops in developmental timing
- Studying extracellular matrix dynamics during morphogenesis
