Alison Fedio is an Adjunct Professor at The Chicago School's College of Professional Psychology, Department of Clinical Psychology, in Washington, D.C. She combines a robust academic background with extensive clinical and research experience in neuropsychology.
- Education: AB in Psychology from Duke University (1982), MA in Psychology from the University of Maryland (1990), PhD in Applied/Experimental Psychology from The Catholic University of America (1995), and PsyD in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology (2000).
Her research focuses on the neurological bases of cognition (memory, language), emotions, and self-awareness in individuals with brain injury, alongside therapeutic approaches for neurological patients and their families. She previously worked as a research psychologist at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), investigating cognitive and emotional correlates of epilepsy and other neurological disorders. Dr. Fedio is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Virginia, with professional affiliations including the International Neuropsychological Society (INS), National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN), American Psychological Association (APA) Divisions 2 and 40, and the Brain Injury Association of Virginia.
