Alison El Ayadi

Alison El Ayadi, ScD, MPH is Associate Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, affiliated with the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences. She conducts research through the Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health.

Her research focuses on maternal health disparities, safe motherhood, reproductive health equity, and obstetric fistula management. She develops cross-sector care delivery models like the San Francisco Pregnancy Village and explores digital health interventions for postnatal care in India.

Recent research trends include: mHealth applications for maternal education, cross-sector healthcare collaboration, and stigma reduction in obstetric fistula recovery. She investigates sociocultural factors affecting pregnancy disclosure and antenatal care initiation in sub-Saharan Africa.
