Alison Bacon

Dr. Alison Bacon is an Associate Professor in Psychology at the University of Plymouth, where she leads the MSc/MPsych Clinical Psychology Programmes. Her research focuses on psychosocial processes underlying women's mental and physical health, particularly exploring trauma, self-silencing, and gendered health pathways.

Recent Publications examine intersections between autism and self-harm, psychosomatic manifestations of trauma, and pandemic-related health outcomes. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals in health and wellbeing.
