Alisa Javadi

Alisa Javadi is an Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma with a joint appointment in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Physics. He holds a Ph.D. from the Niels Bohr Institute (2015) and postdoctoral experience at the University of Copenhagen and University of Basel. His research focuses on quantum photonics, quantum sensing, and nanophotonics, particularly in developing single-photon sources and exploring quantum light applications in communication and meteorology. His group, the Photonic Quantum Technologies Group, actively seeks undergraduate and graduate students. Key awards include the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship (EU), ERC Starting Grant, and DOE Early Career Award.

His team is part of the DOE-funded Quantum Photonics Innovation and Development Center (QuPIDC). Notable publications span quantum dot dynamics, spin-photon interfaces, and ultrafast photonics.
