Dr. Alireza Yaseri is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC). He holds a PhD from Laval University and is affiliated with the GeoEngineering Centre at Queen's-RMC, collaborating with researchers and students from both institutions. His research focuses on computational geomechanics, numerical modeling (FEM, SBFEM, SPH, DEM), soil-structure interaction, earthquake engineering, and dam safety. He advises students in MSc/PhD programs at Queen's and RMC.
His publications span topics like ground vibration analysis, earthquake-induced liquefaction, and dam-flexible canyon systems. He employs hybrid numerical techniques (e.g., FEM-SBFEM) to study infrastructure resilience under dynamic loads.
- Research Highlights: Earthquake Engineering, Vibration Analysis, Numerical Modeling
Students in his group engage in interdisciplinary projects at the GeoEngineering Centre, addressing challenges in geotechnical and structural engineering.
