Aline Pedroso is an Associate Research Scientist and Lead of Scientific Operations at the Cardiovascular Data Science (CarDS) Lab at Yale School of Medicine. Her research focuses on cardiovascular risk assessment, digital health technologies, and AI applications in healthcare, particularly in low-resource settings. She leads multidisciplinary teams to design AI tools for cardiovascular disease detection and collaborates with academic, pharmaceutical, and industry partners.
Education: PhD (Health Sciences, 2024) and MS (Health Sciences, 2019) from Federal University of Sao Joao del Rei, Brazil; BSc (Pharmacy, 2014) from Federal University of Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, Brazil.
Research interests include large-scale cardiovascular studies, health policy evaluation, and AI-driven innovations in interventional cardiology. Her work spans multinational validations of deep learning algorithms, automated data structuring, and comparative effectiveness of antidiabetic drugs.
Key publications (2025) highlight AI’s role in heart failure prediction, structural heart disease screening, and transforming cardiovascular care. She has received awards including the American Heart Association QCOR Travel Award and international grants for pharmacoepidemiology research.
