Aline Melo is an Assistant Professor at the School of Earth Sciences, University College Dublin (UCD). She holds a PhD in Geophysics from the Colorado School of Mines (2018) and prior academic appointments at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (Brazil). Her research focuses on integrating geophysical methods (magnetic, gravity, electrical) with machine learning to address geological challenges in mineral exploration and subsurface characterization. She specializes in inverse theory applications, 3D modeling, and uncovering geology under sedimentary cover.
