Alina Tigău is Professor at the English Department of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures, University of Bucharest. Her research examines syntax and semantics of the Romanian verb phrase through comparative analysis with Romance and Germanic languages.
Education includes a PhD from University of Bucharest (2010) focusing on syntax and semantics of direct objects in Romance and Germanic languages.
Research interests include Differential Object Marking, Clitic Doubling, and ditransitive constructions in Romance languages. Current work involves cross-linguistic analysis of argument structures.
