معرفی
Dr. Alina Marinela Badea (also known as Ionescu) is a Scientific Researcher III at the National Institute of Materials Physics in Magurele, Romania, where she works in the Laboratory of Magnetism and Superconductivity. She holds a PhD in Condensed Matter Physics from the University of Bucharest (2015-2018), a Master's degree in Advanced Materials Physics and Nanostructures (2013-2015), and a Bachelor's degree in Physics Informatics from the University of Craiova (2010-2013). She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Stuttgart, Germany (2019-2020).
Dr. Badea's research focuses on superconductivity, particularly:
- Vortex dynamics and magnetic characterization of superconductors
- REBCO thin films, MgB2 bulk samples obtained by Spark Plasma Sintering
- Iron-based single crystals and YBCO/ferromagnet heterostructures
Her expertise includes magnetic measurements at SQUID, deposition of thin films by PLD, X-ray diffraction measurements, X-ray microscopy at low temperatures, and data processing related to magnetization curves and magnetic relaxation. Her recent work shows a strong emphasis on improving critical current density in various superconducting materials through microstructural design, with applications in power transmission, levitation systems, and high-field magnets. She has made significant contributions to understanding vortex glass-liquid transitions, pinning mechanisms, and the effects of different additives on superconducting properties.
Dr. Badea has authored numerous publications in high-impact journals, with research spanning fundamental physics of superconductors to practical applications. Her work demonstrates a consistent focus on enhancing superconducting performance through material engineering and detailed characterization of vortex dynamics.
She has contributed to several book chapters in prestigious publications such as "Superconductivity: From Materials Science to Practical Applications" (Springer 2020) and "Vortices and Nanostructured Superconductors" (Springer 2017), and holds patents related to superconducting materials and processing techniques.
Dr. Badea collaborates with researchers across Europe and has established herself as a significant contributor to the field of superconductivity, particularly in advancing the understanding of vortex dynamics and pinning mechanisms in various superconducting materials.
