Alicia Kent is a Senior Lecturer in Comparative Literature and Spanish, Portuguese & Latin American Studies at King’s College London. She chairs the Comparative Literature Staff-Student Liaison Committee and researches surrealism, focusing on intermediality, gender, and domesticity in early 20th-century European literature and art.
Research Focus: Kent analyzes surrealist literary reviews, the works of Leonora Carrington, and intersections of text/image in avant-garde publications. Her current project examines domestic spaces in surrealism.
Publications: Recent works explore temporality in Carrington’s art, psychoanalytic play in exhibitions, and archival domesticity. Her scholarship highlights marginalized voices in surrealist movements.
