Dr. Alice Gibson is an NHMRC Emerging Leader 1 Research Fellow at the University of Sydney's Leeder Centre for Health Policy, Economics, and Data. She holds a BSc in Nutrition, a PhD in dietary management of obesity, and is completing a Master of Science in Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) part-time. Her research focuses on reducing lifestyle-related chronic diseases (obesity, diabetes, heart disease) through population-level interventions and digital food environment analysis. She leads two major research streams: leveraging linked health data to study behavioral and sociodemographic factors in long-term health outcomes, and investigating public health impacts of food delivery apps.
