Alice F. Warren was a longtime Professor of History at Skidmore College, serving from 1937 until her death in 1962. She specialized in medieval and American history, and held leadership roles including chair of the History Department (1961–1962). Her career was marked by dedication to teaching, exemplified during a 1956 fire in the Social Science Building when she prioritized saving student work over her own materials, earning praise from the college president. In 1956, she also received the Willet Teaching Award for excellence in instruction.

Her research and teaching contributions included co-founding the Periclean honor society in the mid-1950s with students and colleagues to recognize high-achieving students.
