Aliakbar Ghorbani

Dr. Aliakbar Ghorbani is a Professor and Director of the Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity (CIC) at the University of New Brunswick. As a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Cybersecurity since 2016, he leads research on AI-driven cybersecurity solutions, with a focus on detecting cyber threats before they cause harm. His work spans network security, malware analysis, IoT security, and big data analytics, positioning UNB as a national leader in cybersecurity innovation.
