Dr. Ali Ramadan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at Howard University College of Medicine. His clinical expertise spans Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Chemical Pathology, and Ocular Pathology with a specialized focus on ophthalmic diseases and disorders.
Dr. Ramadan's educational background includes medical training at Amritsar Medical College in India, followed by dual residencies in Ophthalmology at Hadassah Medical Center in Israel and Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. He further specialized with fellowships in Chemical Pathology at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Uveitis and Ocular Pathology at the National Eye Institute/NIH.
His research interests focus on ocular pathology, particularly eyelid tumors, lacrimal system disorders, age-related macular degeneration, and diagnostic approaches to ocular diseases. Dr. Ramadan has published extensively on rare ocular tumors, infection control in ophthalmic procedures, and the pathological mechanisms of retinal diseases.
