Prof. Dr. Ali KARATAŞ is a Professor at the Department of Basic Islamic Sciences, Faculty of Theology at Sakarya University. He holds a PhD from Ankara University and has served in academic leadership roles, including Head of the Tafsir Department and member of the Senate. His expertise lies in Quranic exegesis (Tafsir), focusing on the Maturidi School and methodological approaches to interpretation. He has authored influential works like Tefsir Geleneğinde Rivayet and Anlamdan Yoruma Kur'an.

He has also served as editor for journals like Tefsir Araştırmaları Dergisi and received the Best Presentation Award in 2016.
