Ali Isgandarov

Ali Isgandarov is a Researcher in the Department of Political Science at the University of Salzburg since October 2022. His academic background includes a BA in International Studies from ADA University (Baku) with an exchange semester at the University of Tartu, and an MA in International Relations from Central European University specializing in International Political Economy.

His research focuses on the intersection of international trade and security, with a particular emphasis on geoeconomic strategies in EU energy policy. He is currently contributing to the FWF project "Security Externalities of Trade" and wrote his master's thesis on "Geoeconomics of Energy Trade by the European Union: the case of the Southern Gas Corridor".
