Dr. Ali Gholamrezaei is a Research Fellow at the Pain Management Research Institute, affiliated with the Northern Clinical School at the University of Sydney's Faculty of Medicine and Health. He holds an MD and a PhD from KU Leuven (Belgium), where his doctoral research focused on psychophysiological mechanisms of breathing exercises in pain management. His current work emphasizes digital behavioral interventions for chronic pain, particularly opioid tapering and psychophysiological pain mechanisms. He also leads projects on psychological predictors of dental procedure-related pain and musculoskeletal injury distress.
