Ali Davod Parsa

Dr. Ali Davod Parsa serves as an Associate Professor at Anglia Ruskin University's Faculty of Health, Medicine and Social Care within the School of Allied Health and Social Care. With over 20 years of extensive experience spanning clinical practice, senior health management, and academic research, Dr. Parsa has established himself as a leading expert in health economics, public health policy, and clinical research methodology. His academic journey began after graduating as a qualified GP from the University of Zanjan Medical Sciences in Iran in 1994, followed by significant leadership roles in Iran's healthcare system before transitioning to academia in the UK.

Dr. Parsa's educational credentials include a PhD in Health Economics of Cardiovascular Disease and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Service Research from the University of Nottingham, UK, along with medical qualifications from Iran. His research interests encompass clinical trial research, public health epidemiology (particularly focusing on non-communicable diseases in developed and developing countries), health economics evaluations at all healthcare levels, ethical aspects of clinical practice, healthcare management, health and social policy, priority setting, and international health issues. His scholarly work demonstrates a strong commitment to evidence-based healthcare policy development through rigorous economic analysis.

Dr. Parsa has made significant contributions to understanding healthcare systems through publications examining nosocomial infections in UK hospitals, virtual reality rehabilitation applications, menstruation-related school absenteeism in Ghana, and coagulation factors in ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysms. His research shows consistent focus on improving healthcare delivery through economic evaluation and policy analysis across diverse healthcare settings.

Professional recognition includes Fellow of Higher Education Academy (FHEA), Fellow of Royal Society of Public Health (FRSPH), Fellow of British Medical Association (FBMA), and Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine (FRSM).
