Dr. Ali Al-Rubaie is a Lecturer in Digital Anatomy and Neuroscience at Swinburne University of Technology's School of Health Sciences, serving as Discipline Lead for the Neurosciences Major. His work focuses on integrating digital technologies like VR, 3D imaging, and podcasting into medical education, alongside clinical neuroanatomy and traumatic brain injury (TBI) research. He collaborates with clinicians and medical educators to advance imaging applications in clinical practice and pedagogy.
Dr. Al-Rubaie's research explores neuroinflammation post-TBI, imaging techniques for cranial structures, and stem cell therapies for organ repair. He has pioneered educational innovations such as podcast-based assignments and 3D anatomical visualization tools. His awards include Swinburne's Curriculum Innovation Program grant (2024) and Adobe's Innovation Grant (2023).
